Little guy is at the mercy of state’s pro-wind forces

After reading several articles about the wind turbine meeting Feb. 16 at Bourne High School, I realized there has been no mention of state Sen. Therese Murray’s message of sympathy to the folks living near those turbines, delivered by one of her aides. That made me think back to a statement she made in August 2010.
Allow me to quote from a State House News Service report printed here Aug. 24, 2010: “The state Senate sought yesterday to revive a proposal to overhaul the wind turbine siting process and Senate President Therese Murray indicated she’d throw the weight of her office behind an effort to send the bill to Gov. Deval Patrick.” The bill failed to pass, even though Murray attempted more than a dozen times to pass it.
Hum? This, along with the report that was drawn up by mostly pro-wind and handpicked studies, leads me to believe that once again the little guy is going to have to take it on the chin from those “hands in the till” on Beacon Hill!
