MILWAUKEE – Construction has begun on Milwaukee’s first wind turbine.
The turbine is located just north of the Port Administration Building near the U.S. Coast Guard Station. That’s in Milwaukee’s Bay View neighborhood.
The turbine will eventually power the administration building. The energy produced is projected to save Milwaukee nearly $20,000 each year.
The wind turbine is expected to be up and running by March 1st.
