BLOOMVILLE – Council is continuing to work with NexGen Energy of Colorado to decide if the area will work for wind turbines. In her report, Councilwoman Carol Adams relayed what information has been collected during Wednesday’s council meeting.

If approved the turbines would be installed under a 10-year contract, said Adams. After that time, if not renewed, the turbines would be removed and the land would be put back to its original state.

Phase one would include touring the area, monitoring wind patterns and exploring if the area would be suitable, Adams said. The up-front cost would be $6,000 and is non-refundable.

Council said it plans on having a phone conference with NexGen at its next meeting to seek further clarity.

Clerk-treasurer Janis Weasner said the disposal of bicycles through silent auction raised $64 though only $47 has been collected. She said two bicycles still need to be picked up and paid for.

Street Superintendent Rick Dentinger said two valves at the village pool are to be replaced. He also said street signs need to be reflective by 2015 per state code.

Council is to meet next at 7 p.m. Feb. 15 at Village Hall.
