In a brief public discussion before Thursday morning’s executive session, the selectmen expressed concern that the Energy Office had taken an advocacy approach on its Facebook page and Twitter account with regards to the turbine project. Selectmen Rick Atherton and Bob DeCosta both said they questioned the Energy Office putting out statements and assertions, such as the potential for the wind turbine to save taxpayers $1,000 per day, without the facts to substantiate such claims.
