David Hockney against wind farms

World-famous Yorkshire artist David Hockney has thrown his weight behind the campaign against wind farms in the area.

The artist from Bradford, who famously gave up living in California in favour of Bridlington, has based much of his recent work in the area.

He said of wind turbines: “I certainly wouldn’t paint them. There are too many straight lines, they are unnatural.

“From what I read about them, it tells us that they don’t work very well.”
