Watford, Boddington and Naseby wind farms get go-ahead

Daventry Express, www.daventryexpress.co.uk 29 December 2011

Permission has been granted to build three controversial wind farms in villages across the district.

Long-standing campaigners against the turbines, in Watford Lodge, Naseby and Boddington, have labelled the decisions as ‘heinous, devastating and scandalous’.

A combination of the planning inspectorate and Daventry District Council (DCC) have given the go-ahead despite fierce opposition from various campaign groups.

A total of 12 masts will now be erected across the Daventry district countryside.

For more on this story and people’s reaction to the decision, see this week’s Daventry Express.
