Plans to create a 14-turbine wind farm near Grantshouse have been submitted to Scottish Borders Council.
Banks Renewables wants to erect the 126m-high turbines on Quixwood Moor, a site situated to the west of the village.
It claims that once it is operational the wind farm could create enough power for about 20,000 homes.
The application will be considered by the local authority’s planning committee next year.
