Sturgis, Mich. – The Sturgis Township Board has decided to table its interest in wind energy after hearing the potential cost and return on investment. At a board meeting Monday, trustee Michael Bobalik said it would cost $13,000 to $16,400 to install a windmill on a 40 foot pole, and the approximate yearly savings could be only $164.25.
