With at least two possible developers looking at Tunica County property, interest in wind farms is accelerating.
In August, public notices in this newspaper declared the intent of Torch Renewable Energy and Property Management Southeast to place meteorological towers in Southeast Tunica County to gauge wind conditions over the course of a year. Now, a conditional use permit is also being sought for property in East Tunica County belonging to James Daniel.
Eric Bergstrom, Project Development Manager for Wind Capital Group, brought local Rotary members up to date on wind farm technology in late October.
