Save the mountains

My mom, grandmother, aunts, cousins, and I all hike at Mount Sugarloaf in Deerfield. One of the things that happens there is large birds like hawks that used to be injured get released into the wild from the top of the mountain. We all are glad that we have such a special place to hike and enjoy nature.
I was sad when I was told that right near the High Ledges in Shelburne, where we also go sometimes, that there are going to be 450-foot windmills. I feel sorry for the people in Shelburne who must love their mountain as much as I love mine. Don’t the large hawks and other birds fly there like they do at Mount Sugarloaf? I know that birds and bats get killed by windmills and that animals don’t like to live near them. I think the animals should have places to live, and the windmills will ruin it for the animals as much as the people. I hope that the people who are in charge vote to not let the windmills get built. I know that it will make electricity, but I would rather that we used less electricity, and save the mountains instead.
