BARNSTABLE – A Cape Cod Commission meeting scheduled for today to discuss the fate of the New Generation wind turbine project has been canceled, according to the county regulatory board’s website.
The full commission was scheduled to discuss and vote on the project at 3 p.m. But instead, a procedural hearing, with no discussion or public input, will occur, the website states. That meeting will take place at the First District Courthouse, Assembly of Delegates Chamber, 3195 Main St.
A new date for the hearing has not been scheduled yet, regulatory officer Elizabeth Enos said, but will be posted on the site when it is.
Last week, a five-member subcommittee of the commission formally voted not to recommend the proposed four-turbine Bournedale wind project to the full regulatory board, citing more probable detriments than benefits.
Information on the project is available at the county’s website at www.capecodcommission.org.
