What should wind energy development look like in Clay County? That’s what a group of citizens and researchers from Macalester College are talking about in Moorhead. They are trying to come up with guidelines for sighting future wind turbines in Clay County. Wind Energy development in the county is expected to grow rapidly and it is hoped that getting the public involved early will ease sighting issues.
Dwight Mickelson – Symposium Organizer: “It’s a way to get folks who have varying perceptions and opinions about wind energy to talk together rather than forming sides on rumor or possibly misinformation.”
Macalester College has held symposiums like this one in other parts of the country that have high wind energy potential.
