Former congressman joins Geronimo Wind Energy’s board

Geronimo Wind Energy has announced that former U.S. Rep. Jim Oberstar has joined the company’s board of directors.
Oberstar represented Minnesota’s 8th congressional district from 1975 to 2011. He has also held numerous leadership positions, including administrator of the Committee on Public Works from 1971 to 1974, co-chair of the Great Lakes Task Force, and chairman of the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee from 2007 to 2011.
Oberstar is also known for being a strong supporter of the environment and received ratings of 100 by both the Environment America League of Conservation Voters and the American Wind Energy Association, Geronimo Wind Energy notes.
