Marshfield —

Special Town Meeting was held on Monday, Oct. 24 at Marshfield High School. A total of 304 registered voters were in attendance. Here is a rundown of how Town Meeting voted:

Article1: Addressed a wording error from the 2011 Special Town Meeting that incorrectly listed funding sources. The article passed by the required two-thirds vote. (This article was linked to article 8.)
Article 2: Addressed miscellaneous bills to be paid from past fiscal years. The article passed by the required nine-tenths vote.
Article 3: Addressed the appropriation of funds related to the cost of a U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Hurricane and Storm Damage Feasibility Study. This article was passed over.
Article 4: Addressed a change in the amount to be raised from waste water receipts. The article passed by a majority.
Article 5: Addressed a change in the amount to be raised from water receipts. The article passed by a majority.
Article 6: Addressed a change in the amount to be raised from solid waste receipts. The article passed by a majority.
Article 7: Addressed the purchase of a new excavator for use at the solid waste transfer station. The article was passed over.
Article 8: Amended an error in Article 4 of April 2011 Annual Town Meeting referring to the Pudding Hill New Tank. The article passed by a majority. This article was linked to Article 1.
Article 9: Part 1 addressed funds for a main lift station upgrade. The article passed by a two-thirds vote. Part two of the article was passed over.
Article 10: Addressed funding recommendations for seawall and riprap. The article was passed over.
Article 11: Addressed funds to purchase a vehicle for the superintendent of public works. The article was passed over.
Article 12: Addressed the funding of the town’s portion of a project that would bring airport safety standards into compliance with those of the FAA. The article passed by a two-thirds majority vote.
Article 13: Addressed an amendment to the zoning bylaw related to certain properties affected by the widening Route 139. The article passed by majority.
Article 14: Addressed insurance recovery proceeds for boiler replacement at Furnace Brook Middle School. The article passed by majority.
Article 15: Addressed the Community Preservation Committee’s appropriation to the program increasing affordable housing in the town. The article passed by a majority.
Article 16: Addressed funding of certain collective bargaining agreements in the town. The article passed by majority.
Article 17: Addressed funding for a consultant to compensate a consultant to revise and update the town’s personnel bylaw. The article passed by majority.
Article 18: Addressed wording in an April 2010 Special Town Meeting article to use land in the undeveloped portion of Eames Way for construction of a wind turbine. The article passed by a majority. It was related to articles 19 and 22.
Article 19: Addressed the town’s authorization of an Act of the Legislature regarding the release of land for the wind turbine. The article passed by a majority (related to articles 18 and 22.)
Article 20: This article addresses a settlement for a strip of land within a larger parcel of land owned by Mark and Kasey Zych of Forest Street. The article passed by a majority.
Article 21: Addressed consideration of a meals excise tax for the town. The article was passed over.
Article 22: Addressed a required matching portion of a grant for a wind turbine feasibility study related to articles 18 and 19. The article passed by a majority.
