Plans to build seven wind turbines in the Dengie have been unanimously rejected by councillors.
Renewable energy company RES’ plans to build a wind farm in Turncole Farm, between Burnham and Southminster were refused by Maldon District Council’s planning and licensing committee tonight.
The committee, which decides on major planning applications across the district, opted to refuse the plans for six reasons, including the cumulative affect the project would have on the Dengie when put alongside the projects in Bradwell and Middlewick.
