Opposition to wind farm increases

Credit:  Evening Telegraph, www.northantset.co.uk 21 October 2011 ~~

More than 150 people have now signed a petition against plans to build wind turbines in Wollaston.

The application, submitted to Wellingborough Council last month, requests permission to build two turbines in a field off Hinwick Road.

Since the application was submitted the Say No to Wollaston Wind Farm campaign has grown, with dozens more people adding their name to the petition every day.

The action group has now organised a public meeting to discuss the plans to be held on Thursday, November 10, at the village hall from 7.30pm and Derek Clark MEP and MP Peter Bone are due to attend.

To find out more about the application visit http://planning.wellingborough.gov.uk/portal and enter planning code WP/2011/0443.
