Against the wind

ALLEGANY  – As a boy, Ted Gordon hunted the hills of Chipmonk and often walked near a deep-woods home that he admired and hoped to own one day.

Despite a disabling illness from a brain tumor in ensuing years, Mr. Gordon was able to purchase his dream home on Chipmonk Road 15 years ago. What he never imagined at the time of the purchase was that his home would one day be positioned near the proposed site for a 500-foot-tall wind turbine.
