When: Starting at 2pm and continuing past dinner on Thursday, October 6th
The council will deliberate in the afternoon, then will break for dinner and hope to make final decision after they reconvene in the evening. This meeting will likely end with a recommendation for Governor Gregoire who is the final decision maker. While no public comment will be allowed, the public is encouraged to attend, and your presence will speak strongly.
Remind the council why Whistling Ridge is the most dangerous wind project ever proposed in Washington state. The Whistling Ridge project proposed would construct up to fifty 426 foot tall turbines on a 2,000 foot ridgeline. At least 25 massive turbines would be highly visible from the Columbia River Gorge. Endangered wildlife would be harmed, and the project construction would disrupt the local Gorge communities.
