A mobile crane driver was killed on Monday this week when his eight-axle crane came off a hillside road on a Lancashire wind farm project.
Lindsey Easton, 49, of Sowerby Bridge, Halifax, was working for crane firm Baldwins and driving a 500t all terrain crane on Scout Moor windfarm.
Police say he was travelling down a site road when the crane struck an earth bank, left the road, toppled and trapped the driver. Mr Easton was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Health & Safety Executive is investigating.
