Wind farm meeting

Lynn News, www.lynnnews.co.uk 3 August 2011

An action group formed to fight a Marshland wind farm plan is holding its first meeting on Monday (August 8).

The Terrington Action Group is inviting anyone concerned about the Ongarhill Wind Farm at Terrington St Clement to attend the 7pm meeting at the village hall in Churchgate Way.

Coriolis Energy is proposing to erect 11 turbines north-east of the village and north-west of Clenchwarton.

The chairman of TAG, Gerry Rider, said plans were due to be submitted to West Norfolk Council in September and opponents wanted to have an immediate response available.

Ms Rider said the meeting would give a clearer picture of what the project involved.

She feared there would be “horrendous” traffic problems for 18 months and said: “It has put a lot of people’s backs up. A lot of people are against it.”
