Those with no ocean view still have a point of view

www.capecodonline.com 26 July 2011

The RFK Jr. editorial in The Wall Street Journal that clearly explains the exorbitant costs of Cape Wind power to ratepayers and taxpayers has brought out the usual rhetoric – i.e., that it is only the rich landowners on the coast who don’t want their views spoiled by the wind turbines.

Believe me, there are nowhere near enough folks with great views on the Cape to cause such sweeping opposition to the project as we have seen.

To squelch this in vague arguments that only the rich are opposed to this scheme in inherently false. The time has come for us regular Cape Codders (without ocean views or yachts) to unite against the outsiders thinking to force this boondoggle on us.

Our new organization will be called “The No-See-Ums.” Don’t send money, we are all a bit tight right now. We can only make our voices heard loud and clear along with Robert F. Kennedy Jr.
