Vale of Evesham wind turbines company will not appeal

BBC News, www.bbc.co.uk 22 July 2011

A company which planned to build a wind farm in Worcestershire has said it is not going to appeal against the decision to refuse planning permission.

ScottishPower Renewables’ plans for 415ft (126m) high wind turbines on land near Bishampton Bank in the Vale of Evesham were turned down in January.

The application was refused by a margin of 19-to-one at a Wychavon District Council meeting.

Campaigners fought against the plans on “noise and visual impact” grounds.
