County OKs wind energy weather towers

HOLBROOK – Public works dominated the June 28 Navajo County board meeting, with developments in Heber-Overgaard, Lakeside and Snowflake requiring decisions.

The easiest was a vote to allow five more meteorological towers about eight miles north and west of Snowflake, but south of the current Dry Lake wind installations, by Western Wind Energy.
