A single wind turbine planned for a Buchan farm could spell disaster for pilots using a rural airstrip, it has been claimed.
The 265ft mast has been earmarked for farmland at Rora, near Peterhead.
It has attracted strong opposition from members of North East Aviators, who claim it would create “unacceptable risk” to users of the private airfield at Longside.
A report on the turbine plan – due before the Buchan area committee next week – calls for the scheme to be rejected.
