Bat monitors stolen from Bear Mountain Wind Park

The Dawson Creek RCMP are searching for two bat monitoring stations stolen from the Bear Mountain Wind Tower Park.

The RCMP were notified on Monday about the theft that is believed to have happened over the weekend. Two complete monitoring systems were taken which include monitors, microphones, solar panels, batteries, speakers and the associated wiring. Each monitoring system is worth over $3,000.

The complainant states the monitors are useless to anyone not involved in this particular research.
