Bridlington: Plans have been drawn up for a wind farm near the town.
The proposed 11-turbine scheme would be on farmland north east of Fraisthorpe – just over a mile from Bridlington.
Developers TCI Renewables say it could generate electricity for almost 15,000 homes a year.
The energy company has now submitted a planning application to East Riding Council for a wind monitoring mast to check local conditions.
Like other wind farm schemes, TCI is offering a cash payback scheme to the local community if the project gets off the ground.
Newsletters about the development will be sent out to local residents, and an exhibition will be held in Barmston village hall on May 9.
