Proposals are ill-considered

This week I read two reports regarding the quality of the environmental assessments for the Bryn Llewellyn and Brechfa West turbine proposals. One was from the Environment Agency and the other was by Carmarthenshire Council.
I have no qualification in biology or hydrology, or other associated ‘ology’, but I have known the area for more than 40 years, have lived within two miles since 1987, regularly enjoyed the pleasures of the sites and used my eyes, ears and other senses, and had recognised many false and ill-considered statements these assessments contained.
I am more than surprised at the cavalier attitude of these developers to the effects on people’s lives, jobs, health and wellbeing by submitting such ill-considered and under-researched proposals for consultation and Bethan Thomas’s RWE PR thank you in last week’s Journal shows just how much they were actually listening to people during their consultations.
We need to have qualified information about the damage that will be done to the environment we live in.
I strongly object to the developers of these proposals treating me and all other citizens of Carmarthenshire and our elected members as fools and would like to request a further consultation based on sound research and evidence before any decision is made on whether these are worthwhile proposals that should be taken forward and embraced by the people of Carmarthenshire.
