A plan by British Telecom to site three wind turbines on the hills above Ilfracombe, has been rejected by town council planners.
Ilfracombe Town Council’s planning committee recommended refusal of the plan for the 326ft high turbines at Great Shelfin Farm, at their meeting on Monday.
Planning chairman Rod Donovan said: “We do support renewable energy, but we are reluctant to see turbines within a Coastal Preservation Area.”
