Wind turbines don’t belong in a vacation paradise

Some of us come to the Cape to get fresh air, the ocean breeze and soft winds, to eat lobster and clams, to visit quaint villages and sleep late for a week or two of bliss away from a hectic life of work schedules.
Given the high price of gas, we make sacrifices to get here. If we then hear a wind turbine – have our sleep disturbed and our children cranky – all the discounts on hotels, motels and restaurants will not make people come.
This is a great retirement area, but just think of all these retired people moving elsewhere.
Wind turbines are OK in the desert or remote areas where people do not exist within 50 miles. Perhaps we could put them closer to the officials who feel these should be located near the general public … or better still, closer to where they vacation.
