A Welsh Conservative candidate has lent her support to campaigners against a giant wind farm proposed for the Neath and Afan valleys.
Conservative candidate for South Wales West, Suzy Davies, said she supported Glyncorrwg Action Group’s fight against 79 turbines proposed by Nuon Renewables.
She said: “It is bad enough that we have the Ffynnon Oer turbines looming out at us as we come up the valley. The thought of 79 more waiting for us at the end of our journey is just dispiriting.”
In January, 17 Neath Port Talbot councillors voted not to object to the officer’s recommendation of approval, and 15 objected to the proposal.
The final decision on the application is with the Secretary of State for Energy and Climate Change.
