Wind farm firm ran misleading advert

The green energy company behind a Cornwall wind farm reopened by Energy Secretary Chris Huhne last week, has fallen foul of the advertising watchdog. Good Energy, which invested £11.8 million at Delabole, North Cornwall, misled readers in a magazine insert, the Advertising Standards Agency (ASA) ruled. The ASA said the “overall impression” of the advert “was likely to be interpreted as suggesting Good Energy supplied 100 per cent renewable energy directly to consumers” when that was not the case.
