Relief over turbine decision

It was with a feeling of joy and relief I read the article covering the decision to reject the windfarm planned for Mynydd yr Gwair.
The mountain contains hundreds of small springs and watercourses which are the lifeblood of many hill farmers and country folk, as well as feeding the Lliw reservoirs. It is an exceptionally beautiful and tranquil part of our country which should be preserved as it gives life by way of providing grazing for sheep and cattle.
Inefficient, unreliable, unsightly and financially unviable windmills are not the way forward on Mynydd yr Gwair.
On behalf of everybody who appreciates and depends upon the magnificence of this wonderful mountain, I would like to thank everyone who pulled together and worked tirelessly and against the odds in their fight to save our common mountain environment – thank you one and all. Last but not least, thanks and gratitude are due to our councillors and the powers that be in the Assembly who with wisdom, foresight and a sense of fair play stood tall in the hot bovinesque propaganda-laden air blown at them and voted against the monstrosities.
