An action group is being formed to alert people to the prospect of several wind turbines being built near Little Linford.
Last month, the Citizen revealed plans to build the giant structures on the outskirts of Milton Keynes, and that many residents were none-the-wiser to the potential that could be on their doorsteps. Initial scoping plans have already been submitted to the council for the turbines.
Pam Williams, who is helping to organise the group, said: “We are still in the early stages of getting things together.
“People even saw it in the paper and didn’t realise that it was talking about our area. We have to make sure everyone knows if we are to fight this.
“We feel aggrieved by all of this because it was land formerly owned by a farmer, and by selling it on, it could destroy the value of the area.”
Mrs Williams hinted that the group had a number of ideas that could potentially highlight the problems that the turbines could cause.
“There are a few things we could do,” she said.
“We are still planning and throwing ideas around, but if we raise enough money, we could do some pretty exciting things to raise awareness of the turbines.”
