State Sens. Jane Earll and Mary Jo White will hold a joint public informational hearing about offshore wind energy in Lake Erie.

Earll, of Fairview Township, R-49th Dist., and White, of Franklin, R-21st Dist., announced that the hearing will be held March 14 at 9:30 a.m. at the Tom Ridge Environmental Center, 301 Peninsula Drive.

The hearing will start with presentations from people with different perspectives on the future of wind energy, and include information on the prospect of windmills off the shore of Pennsylvania in Lake Erie. A question-and-answer session will follow.

Earll will take written comments from the public before and after the hearing. Send comments to Sen. Jane Earll, 200 W. 11th St., Erie, PA 16501; or post comments by visiting Earll’s website, www.senatorearll.com.

The list of speakers will be released once it is complete.
