Plans to build a six-turbine wind farm at Flixborough Grange have been refused by North Lincolnshire Council.
The proposal, by RidgeWind, went before North Lincolnshire Council’s planning committee for a third time this afternoon.
Fierce opposition to the scheme from residents of nearby Burton-Upon-Stather had already seen it rejected twice by the council, as well as at a public inquiry last year.
Around 200 residents packed into Pittwood House, in Scunthorpe, for today’s meeting, which saw councillors on the committee vote against the development.
The reasons for refusal will be confirmed after another meeting at a later date.
