As Spain rethinks its commitment to industrial wind, Gamesa looks to expand in the U.K. This graphic accompanied a Times story on Tuesday, Feb. 8, 2010, by Robert Lea.

Gamesa’s 7 megawatt wind turbine will be 125 metres in diameter – about the diameter of the London Eye.
The turbine will sit on a tower 110 metres high – about the height of St Paul’s.
It will weight about 300 tonnes – the weight of an Airbus A340.
