RIGA – The wind turbine debate is still blowing through Riga, and members of a group called the Interstate Informed Citizens Coalition (IICC) wants to make sure their voice is heard.
At the Riga Township board meeting on Monday, Josh Nolan, attorney for the IICC, gave a formal invitation to all the board members. A free seminar entitled “Living in the Grid: Industrial Wind Turbines and You” will be held from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 5 in the Blissfield High School cafeteria.
“I realize we’re asking a lot to take time out of your busy schedules on a Saturday to come to this,” Nolan said. “But we’re looking at something that could alter the face of our landscape for the next 70 to 90 years.”
