Port Jervis, N.Y. – Mayor Russell R. Potter has organized a project advisory panel to review proposals to complete a wind power feasibility study and select a qualified company that will be recommended to the city common council.
Last month, Potter received six bids from interested firms for a analysis and assessment of wind-generated power as an alternative energy source for the City of Port Jervis.
“We anticipate having a firm on board within the next 60 days and hope to complete the project by year’s end,” Potter said.
Funding for the Wind Power analysis will come from a planning grant awarded by the County of Orange through the US Department of Energy and American Resource and Recovery Act (ARRA).
