CLAYTON, ILL. – A second Adams County town has voted to restrict wind farm development.
The Clayton Village Board voted last night to ban wind turbine construction from within a one and a half mile radius surrounding Clayton.
The vote was 5 to zero with one trustee abstaining from the vote.
Mayor Sam Miller told KHQA the vote added wind farm restrictions to the current village zoning ordinance.
Village leaders in Golden enacted similar restrictions last month.
