Wind turbine project opponents state concerns to county board

First to speak was Cary Shineldecker, of Riverton Township, who spoke about concerns he has with the health, safety and welfare of those living near Consumers Energy’s planned wind turbines in Riverton and Summit townships.

He said he believes there are significant issues that have not yet been looked at.

Shineldecker said he also believes the wind turbines will drive property values to an “unmarketable state” once in place.
