Campaigners will have their last chance to speak out for or against plans for a wind farm when they go before district councillors next month.
Members of Wychavon District Council will decide on January 27 at a special meeting whether to approve or refuse planning permission for five turbines on land east of Bishampton Bank.
The meeting at Pershore Civic Centre is at 2pm and the time for public speaking has been extended, allowing 30 minutes for objectors and 30 minutes for supporters.
While the usual space for members of the public will be available in the chamber, the council will install an audio feed to the adjoining committee rooms and foyer in anticipation of a large turnout.
The agenda for the committee, including the officer’s recommendation on the application, will be published on January 17 and anyone wishing to speak at the meeting needs to register their interest by noon on January 21.
The application, by ScottishPower Renewables, includes proposals for five 2.3 mega watt turbines measuring 126.5 metres to the tip, as well as hardstandings, access tracks, compounds and a permanent meteorological mast.
