Firm eyeing ‘desert’ for wind turbines

With a Pennsylvania company eyeing property in the “desert” section of Pasquotank County for 50 or more wind turbines, the Board of Commissioners will hold a public hearing next month on a proposed ordinance amendment to allow wind turbines as a conditional use in agricultural zoning districts.
