Proposals for a windfarm near Old Dalby have been given the green light.
Gloucestershire firm Ecotricity intends to build nine turbines in a field to the east of the village. Melton Council’s development committee approved the plans, subject to conditions, last Thursday (Dec 16) despite residents’ objections. The turbines are expected to be up and running within the coming year.
