Panto season has definitely arrived

John O'Groat Journal and Caithness Courier, www.johnogroat-journal.co.uk 10 December 2010

In Keith Muir’s letter of November 26, with reference to Dunnet and Canisbay Community Council’s objection to the Durran wind farm, the season of comical panto has definitely arrived.

Mr Muir states clearly the community council was not opposed to the development and it is incorrect to say they were opposed to it.

I have seen a copy of the community council’s official letter (on its headed paper) of October 20 to the planning department at the Highland Council which categorically states, “we urge the Highland Council to recognise that this development would have a significant, long-term, detrimental impact on the people of Dunnet and to refuse planning permission”.

Nothing can be clearer than that. It seems a case of “oh no they didn’t, oh yes they did”!
