Comprehensive plan draft draws support from Mineral residents

KEYSER, W.Va. – Only a handful of people attended a rather anticlimactic public hearing of the Mineral County Planning Commission Tuesday, the follow-up to a controversial June hearing that led to threats of a lawsuit against the county.

Both hearings centered on the Mineral County Comprehensive Plan, a document that has been in development for about four years. The plan was approved by the planning commission on July 27 and sent on to the county commission for review, but the county commission sent it back after a challenge by wind farm developer U.S. Wind Force.
