COLEBROOK – The town has scheduled a Nov. 10 informational meeting regarding a proposal for commercial wind farms on Flagg Hill and Rock Hall roads.
The proposal is coming from BNE Energy Inc. of West Hartford, which also wants to build two wind turbines in Prospect. The proposal here would place three turbines each on vacant land near the Norfolk and Winsted lines. BNE representatives are expected to make a presentation.
Neither proposal requires town approval. Both proposals are to go before the Connecticut Siting Council.
Each turbine would stand 328 feet high and generate 1.6 megawatts of power for the Connecticut Light and Power electric grid.
