Protestors are celebrating after a proposal to build a wind turbine in Shavington was refused by councillors.
At today’s (Wednesday) Southern Planning Committee meeting the application for a wind turbine planned for Blakelow Business Park was refused because Cheshire East councillors decided it would have a negative visual impact and because of the impact on residential amenity due to the closeness of the proposed site.
Many of those against the proposal staged a protest outside Crewe Municipal Buildings before the meeting took place.
