Wind towers mar beauty

Pantagraph, www.pantagraph.com 22 August 2010

With all the wind farm towers popping up in McLean County and surrounding areas, what percentage of electricity is used in the location where it is generated?

Has an in-depth test been conducted related to destruction from tornadoes and high winds?

To me, the country is supposed to be a thing of beauty, with farms and Mother Nature’s creations, not having tall towers with slow, twirling blades.

No matter what the authorities say, it has to have an impact on wildlife. Hunting and other recreation that took place on the property before the towers were in place have been outlawed. It is another case where the big business is squeezing out the little guy, like the Enbridge pipeline company is trying to do with the disaster they had in Michigan.

With the economy in bad shape and few jobs, it means more jobs, but in the long run, will it lead to disaster?

Folks, take a ride out to Moraine View State Park; the sight is anything but beautiful viewing all the twirling towers in the distance. Our forefathers would turn over in their graves if they could view the sight.
