PUBLIC COMMENT EXTENDED

Ontario’s Environment Ministry has extended the time citizens will have to submit comments on how to regulate proposed offshore wind farms.

The ministry has nixed Tuesday’s deadline and pushed it back two week to Sept. 7. The extension came after more than 650 citizens submitted comments, the biggest share from Southwestern Ontario where opposition has been mounting along the shore of Lake Huron. To comment, phone the ministry at 1-416-325-7893 or go online to www.ebr.gov.on.ca, type in registration number 011-0089, click the Find button and click that same number on the following page.
