A group opposed to a proposed wind farm in Lake Michigan is taking its grassroots effort to the south.
Our partner, the Grand Haven Tribune, is reporting about 50 people showed up Wednesday night for a presentation against the plan by Scandia Wind Offshore.
The Lake Michigan POWER Coalition hosted the town hall meeting. The Pentwater-based group focused on energy alternatives, including clean coal, nuclear power or land-based wind farms.
On Thursday, the Oceana County Board of Commissioners is expected to vote on a resolution not to endorse Scandia’s plan. However the project could still move forward.
